Ordering & Shipping

What currency are your prices in?
All prices are listed in UK Sterling (£).

Do you ship worldwide?
Yes — I ship to most countries around the world. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout and all parcels are tracked. If your country isn’t listed, just email me and I’ll take a look.

How long will it take to receive my order?
Every Green Dog piece is made to order here in Oxfordshire. Please allow 1–4 working days for making. After that, shipping times vary based on your location:

  • UK: Next-working-day delivery via courier
  • Europe: 4–10 business days
  • Rest of World: 7–20 business days

Tracking is sent as soon as your parcel leaves the studio. If you haven’t received anything within 2 business days, just email me at hello@greendog.pet.

How is my order packaged?
All items are sent in reusable, recyclable postage pouches, and packed in Kraft stand-up resealable bags — minimal and sustainable. I reuse supplier boxes wherever possible to keep waste low.

Do you offer gift wrapping?
Not as standard, but if your order is a gift, email me and I’ll be happy to quote for custom wrapping or a handwritten note.

Do your prices include VAT?
Green Dog is not currently VAT-registered, so there’s no VAT added at checkout. International orders may be subject to local duties or taxes upon arrival.

Can I cancel my order?
Yes — just contact me before your item has shipped. Once it’s in transit, you’ll need to follow the returns process.

What if I entered the wrong address?
Please reply to your order confirmation within 24 hours with your correct address and order number. After that, I can’t guarantee changes, and I can’t refund misdirected parcels.

Returns & Adjustments

Do you accept returns?
I offer a 100% guarantee on items that arrive damaged or faulty. If there's a sizing issue and the correct size was sent, returns aren’t accepted — but I’ll always try to help if you get in touch within 15 working days. Return postage is the buyer's responsibility.

Do you offer repairs or hardware swaps?
Yes. I’m happy to service any Green Dog product — whether that’s upgrading hardware or replacing a part that’s been chewed or worn. Just email me and I’ll quote for the parts and return postage.

Sizing, Materials & Craftsmanship

Who makes your products?
Every collar, lead, and keychain is handmade by me — Ed — in my Oxfordshire studio. No factories, no outsourcing. Just one maker, a pile of rope, and my dachshund Boris keeping an eye on things.

What materials do you use?
I work with premium, long-lasting materials:

  • Rope: PPM (polypropylene multifilament), nylon, and cotton — lightweight, quick-drying, and durable.
  • Paracord: US-made Nano and Type III Paracord — UV, rot, and colour-run resistant.
  • Leather: British cowhide saddlery leather, vegetable-tanned.
  • BioThane®: Waterproof coated webbing perfect for adventure wear.

How accurate are your measurements?
Each piece is handmade to order, so allow for up to ½ inch (1 cm) variance in length.

Are your products waterproof?

  • BioThane and PPM: waterproof and easy to clean.
  • Leather: naturally water-resistant but should be dried gently if soaked — no radiators or tumble dryers.

Which hardware is best for long-term wear?
Solid brass or solid nickel-plated clips are ideal for dogs that swim, roll, or walk in all weathers. Plated zinc alloy is still incredibly strong (160kg+) but may show cosmetic changes sooner.

Will the end caps rust?
No — they’re made from plated brass, so while the finish may darken over time, the metal won’t rust or weaken.

Can I upgrade my hardware later?
Absolutely — send it back and I’ll swap the clips and rings for solid brass or solid nickel fittings. End caps are the only part I can’t upgrade with solid metal alternatives.

Custom Orders & Stockists

Can I choose custom colours or sizing?
Yes — most listings allow for full colour customisation. If you have something specific in mind, drop me an email and I’ll do my best to bring it to life.

Do you offer custom sizes for small or large breeds?
I make every item to order, so I can tailor fit for anything from Dachshunds to Wolfhounds. Just let me know your dog’s measurements.

Do you offer wholesale or trade pricing?
Yes, I partner with a limited number of shops and boutiques that share Green Dog’s values. Email me with your business details and I’ll get back to you with trade options.

Sustainability & Brand Values

How sustainable is Green Dog?
Sustainability is stitched into everything I do. I use:

  • Recyclable and reusable packaging
  • FSC-certified paper and minimal waste materials
  • Vegetable-tanned leather and locally sourced components where possible
  • Small-batch production — not mass manufacturing

These products are made to last, not be replaced. That’s the greenest thing of all.
